Amber Seater, MA, LPC, CPT, RYT-200
Amber’s passion is helping others become empowered and finding their strength after an adverse life event/events. She has found that the best way to do this is to involve every aspect of the human being, which includes the mind, body, and spirit. Involving the body and spirit in therapy is the best way to heal and receive a holistic outcome. Amber received her master’s in Counseling at UMKC. She has worked with children and families in both impatient and outpatient settings. She received level one training in TF-CBT from the CARES Institute and has been trained in Trauma Systems Therapy through KVC. Amber has received her Play Therapy Certification through Mid-America Nazarene University and loves utilizing sandtray with all of her clients. Amber has a love for yoga and mindfulness and has found that utilizing yoga with children can help the healing process. She received her 200 hour yoga teacher training from Om Prana Yoga, a certified yoga studio for training through Yoga Alliance.
Amber not only enjoys working with children and teens, with depression and suicidal ideation, body image issues, past trauma, and their families, and couples as well. She believes that in order for the family to be strong, the parental unit has to be strong. All backgrounds and belief systems are welcomed.
