Brittany Talley, LPC, RPT
Brittany Talley, LPC, RPT provides Play Therapy and Individual Counseling for children, teens and young adults. She has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and a Play Therapy Certification from Mid-America Nazarene University. She has also completed trainings in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and the Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Model. She believes that PLAY is for everyone and loves incorporating play therapy techniques into her sessions with clients of all ages. Brittany partners with parents and families on each child’s journey to help provide tools for success.
She specializes in children, adolescents and young adults who have experienced or witnessed interpersonal violence (sexual assault, child sexual abuse, domestic violence). She is also an enthusiastic advocate for children/adolescents of color in their explorations of race, privilege, representation, and identity.
Before moving back to Kansas City in late 2016, Brittany was the Director of Sexual Assault Prevention at Saint Mary’s College of California. She also served as the Coordinator of the Campus Violence Prevention Program at Southeast Missouri State University. She is passionate about teaching kids boundaries and bodily autonomy as well as preparing adolescents for the overwhelming freedom that is college life.
