Jimmarie Stinson, MA, T-LPC, CIT
Jimmarie Stinson, MA, T-LPC, CIT approaches counseling from the belief that it is imperative to empower, equip and motivate parents and families to be the best that they can be. She believes that families are as strong as the parents that lead them. She is the parent of four children, who range from young adults to young children. Jimmarie has worked with children and families for over 22 years, where this has equipped her with the experience and ability to help families handle a variety of family and parent issues. Jimmarie has an AAS in Early Childhood Development, a BS in Management, and her Masters in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Child and Family Therapy.
Throughout her experience, education and clinical training, Jimmarie has engaged families from a trauma informed and strengths-based perspective, with a strong desire to strengthen the family, while paying close attention to the whole child. Jimmarie is compassionate and provides supportive interactions for families who experience adverse issues that may arise and strives to promote positive meaningful interactions with children. Jimmarie enjoys working closely with parents and families who need guidance and resources to fulfill their daily roles as parents.
Jimmarie is passionate about working with children and families with the following developmental and behavioral concerns:

- Childhood trauma
Jimmarie uses evidenced based treatment such as Family Systems, Mindfulness Meditation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, and Play Therapy. She prefers a client centered approach. She focuses on attachment based issues and trauma to help children cope with adverse issues that they face on a day to day basis.
