Julia Vulic MA, CRC, PLPC, CPT

Sometimes it feels like all the world wants to do is knock us down. It may seem impossible to get back up, even with the support of a friend or loved one. Julia believes that we are not defined by our pasts. We have the power to change our futures for the better. Our struggles can make us stronger. Everyone is a valuable and unique person with their own story to tell.

Julia practices from a solution focused and person centered approach and often integrates CBT, TF-CBT (trauma focused), and play therapy. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Play Therapist who wants each and every person to get the chance to discover their internal strengths, feel valued, and have the confidence and skills to be their best selves. Julia also completed a post-graduate play therapy certification program from MidAmerica Nazarene University of Olathe, KS.

With a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Maryville University of St. Louis, Missouri, she has focused on helping people with disabilities achieve a greater quality of life via independent and meaningful employment and education. This includes working with those who have developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, experience homelessness, and people who are simply experiencing stressful life transitions/events.

She enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, although is truly passionate about working with kids and young adults. Although they may have different ways of expressing and coping with complex emotions such as grief, she believes that it is imperative to give them the opportunity to voice, process through, and make sense of both positive and negative life experiences. From the words of Dr. Seuss, “A person’s a person, no matter how small”.
