Ashley is a warm, authentic counselor who finds great joy in helping others face life’s challenges, whether struggling with their own self doubts, negative thoughts, anxiety, depression or society’s perceptions.
Counseling Approach
As a trauma competent counselor, Ashley understands that every person’s story is unique and important. She finds the value in individualizing her approach to counseling for each person she works with, integrating support, playfulness and intention. She is passionate about providing her child and teen clients a safe place where they experience acceptance and understanding as they work toward healing and freedom problematic behaviors, while partnering with their parents to insure that the family system has the most comprehensive approach to overall wellness. With teens, Ashley is passionate about helping the teen find their place and purpose in the world. Along the journey, teens experience self-efficacy, increased confidence and a more balance approach to all areas of their life.
With her couples clients, she specializes in working with those who are struggling with problematic communication patterns, pre-marital counseling, helping partners understand the impact of anxiety, family of origin issues, and poor self-image within the relationship. She partners with you to find the solutions that work for you, helping you discover balance, peace and fulfillment in your relationships.
Education and Trainings
Ashley received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in music, from Northwest Missouri State University. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance form the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
