Callie Jacobson
Counseling Intern
No one should encounter life’s challenges alone. Grief, change, and frustration can all leave you feeling exactly that: alone and unsure how to move forward. It is in that place that Callie desires to instill the hope that change is possible. Callie strongly believes in her clients’ abilities to heal from and grow through many obstacles in life, including anxiety, depression, family changes, and traumatic events; she is passionate about partnering with you to make that healing and growth a reality for you, your child, and/or your family.
Counseling Approach
Callie especially enjoys working with children and their families and she prioritizes providing focused support for your child, all the while appreciating the importance of the caregiver relationships in your child’s life. She utilizes play therapy techniques to connect with your child and promote their best interest in targeted ways. She believes that a happier and healthier family is possible through intentional effort and partnership with you and your child.
Education and Training
Callie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and certification in Child Advocacy from the University of Arkansas. Callie is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Counseling at MidAmerica Nazarene University, with emphasis in Marriage, Couple, & Family Counseling and Spiritual Integration.
