You’ve been struggling with a negative view of yourself and negative self talk. It drives how you feel, and often how you interact with your world and those around you. Life can be hard to navigate, but you don’t have to do it alone. Emily believes in cultivating a warm and safe environment where she can listen, without judgement, and guide you to discover how you want things to be, and be the best version of you that you can be. The hardest part of taking care of yourself is admitting that you need help, even if you know something is out of balance. You are so brave in taking the first step in that scary process!
Emily’s approach to therapy is to be there in the moment with each client, utilizing her past experiences, education and training in trauma to provide an empathetic ear and guide you to feeling better and uncovering the life you dream of. As a person-centered therapist, she bring a strength-based approach, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions. You are not alone in your journey; how you feel about what is going on in your life is valid, and hope and healing can be achieved.
