Phillip Zweerink, Counseling Intern

Phillip strives to collaborate with his clients in finding ways to overcome these difficulties. He believes everyone deserves to be given an opportunity to change and transform, and this can be done by looking at life from a multifaceted lens including family, work, community, and spirituality. Phillip is passionate about partnering with his clients in identifying their strengths, ultimately empowering them for growth and to investigate a higher purpose.
Phillip enjoys working with individuals and families on their path to overcoming anxiety, depression, and relational distress. He comes from a client-centered approach that allows for clients and families to create new processes and support healthy behaviors and interactions. Phillip ultimately believes each person is beautifully created, and is passionate about helping his clients see their value and purpose in life.
Education and Training
Phillip earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Science from Missouri Western State University. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Counseling at MidAmerica Nazarene University, with emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
