When you are at a loss, or a dead-end trying to help your child overcome their challenges, you may not know where to turn.  You may be experiencing exhaustion and frustration managing all of the different influences that your child encounters.  Samantha has worked with children and families from a systemic lens for over 8 years, helping parents navigate the different solutions in a safe and accepting environment.  She embraces relationships with parents to find what works, including providing family therapy, if needed.  She provides Play Therapy in our Lee’s Summit office.  Together, she finds new ways to support the family unit to better understand what they are going through, how their child is experiencing the situation, and find ways to cope through the distress.  Whether your child is experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, interpersonal relationships struggles or transitions in difficult times, you have someone to turn to.

Samantha is a competent and passionate counselor who enjoys facilitating growth and fostering resiliency in the work she does with children, tweens, teens, siblings and families.

Therapeutic Approach

As a trauma competent child and family counselor, Samantha prioritizes each relationship and enjoys watching each client grow and achieve their goals.  She approaches therapy from a person centered, strengths based approach, incorporating the family system and the parents in her work.  She is passionate about helping others find their peace and balance when struggling with anxiety, depression or a traumatic event.  Samantha works with children of all ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, providing Play Therapy in Lee’s Summit.
