Stephanie Fox, LCSW
Trauma Competent Family Systems Therapist
Stephanie brings a genuine and compassionate approach to therapy and believes change is encouraged in a non-judgmental, relational and hopeful environment. As a trauma competent, genuine family therapist, she is passionate about authentically being with you while you are in your pain and your loneliness, and exploring your needs.
She works to cultivate an affirming therapy environment where children, adolescents and adults learn to understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, learn to self-regulate and love themselves. Her passion is compassionately helping others understand their central nervous system, and how their brains experience their environments and situations, brainstorming with you to break patterns, connecting with you and hearing you and supporting you on your journey to healing and wellness.
When working with children and adolescents, Stephanie collaborates closely with parents to develop effective parenting strategies to help families connect and grow. She believes each individual within the family system desires to be known, understood and loved.
Her specialties include the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, attachment issues and trauma. She is trained in Trauma Competent Approaches, specializing in attachment-based interventions and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She believes in the polyvagal theory, helping her clients understand how the central nervous system impacts development, and teaching mindfulness strategies to calm the mind and body, while understanding how optimal brain development prepares children and teens for success in school, friendships and family life.
