Zachary Rich, Counseling Intern
Life’s challenges can be not only hard, but also isolating. Zachary approaching his counseling with his clients with warmth, understanding and provides a space for you process through your anxiety, depressive symptoms, family challenges, grief and traumatic events. He believes that each client is an expert on themselves. He helps his clients feel empowered to overcome any mindsets that hold them back and finding the hope and validation from the counseling experience can change any circumstance.
Zachary enjoys working with children, teens and adults, including family systems, to help the healing process in strategic and well thought out treatment plans. He approaches therapy from a trauma informed person-centered lens, while providing a space where you are heard and can find within you your true self, authentic skills and strengths. He is passionate about working collaborative with his clients to uncover the core values and natural strengths while individualizing for each client. He is skilled at helping his client identify barriers to manage the struggles they encounter, find new thoughts and approaches to their daily life.
Zachary is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, with an expected graduation in August 2022.
