Taryn Hodison, MA, LPC

Taryn Hodison, MA, LPC provides individual therapy for adults, adolescents and couples. Taryn has a master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. She has more than 10 years experience working with a wide variety of clinical populations in various settings such as hospitals, community mental health centers and private practice. Taryn specializes in trauma-focused care with an emphasis on mood and emotional regulation. She has extensive experience providing sound, evidence-based care to children, adults, and families; many of whom have experienced chronic or acute trauma.

Taryn is very passionate about providing sound care to individuals regardless of their cultural or socioeconomic background. Her clinical interest include working with LGBT individuals, couples and families to help them overcome the unique challenges facing those communities.

Additionally, Taryn has spent much of her career advocating for multicultural awareness in mental health. Understanding the role that race, class, gender and privilege plays in mental health is of utmost importance to Taryn.
