Couples & Relationship Therapy
Children, Teens, Adults, Couples
You may be a parent whose child is showing behaviors that are difficult to understand and support, or your struggling to help your child through a significant life event or phase. Maybe you’re a couple experiencing difficulty in your relationship, finding it hard to communicate, reconnect, and repair from past hurts. Or are you an adult going through a stressful life transition or feeling stuck, overwhelmed with anxiety and stress from different things in your life?
Whether helping children and teens process their emotions and find their voice or guiding adults and couples to that “ah-ha” moment when they understand their feelings, needs, and experiences, Karlee is ready to be there with you. Her belief that we can all grow and pursue the life we want with enough support and guidance from others drives her work. She creates that safe and supportive space for people to talk and work through hard things.
Karlee works with children, teens, adults, and couples with a wide array of concerns and experiences. Some of her focus areas are helping individuals with anxiety, trauma, and family and relationship issues, as well as working with children using play therapy.
Therapeutic Approach
Karlee’s therapeutic approach is person-centered with a focus on attachment. In her work with children, teens, and adults, she uses play therapy strategies and techniques to foster a safe environment where clients can naturally progress toward healing and goals. For couples, she employs the Gottman Method, a practical approach that helps couples learn skills to enhance their relationship and work through conflict. Karlee’s work is characterized by compassion and openness, providing a listening ear for those who are struggling. She creates a warm and accepting environment, allowing clients to explore themselves fully and process emotions and events that may have been suppressed or avoided. Her goal is to help clients learn about themselves, their lives, and their environment on a deeper level, and develop skills to overcome any life event, big or small.

Karlee is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Central Missouri. Additionally, she is pursuing certification in play therapy. She is clinically supervised by Samantha Reed, MA, LPC and works at our Lee’s Summit location.
