Men's Issues
Life can be difficult and sometimes filled with pain and challenges. These experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming, like a mountain that feels impossible to climb, with no clear path to reach the summit. Your life is not defined by whatever mountain you’re facing. With the right people and support, you can overcome your challenges, heal, and grow into the person you want to be.Â
Justin is just that right support to help you in your healing journey. Justin believes that if you’re not excited about your life, then it’s time to make some changes. Devoted to helping others heal and realize they are not alone in their struggles, Justin supports people in knowing themselves, paying attention to their needs, and taking the needed risks for growth and change. He wants to stand alongside you as you face your challenges and start living a life that excites you—where you can know and love yourself and others, be known and loved by others, and live with meaning and purpose.
Justin provides individual counseling to teens and adults. Some of his focus areas are helping individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, men’s issues, and helping Christians navigate their mental health struggles.
Therapeutic Approach
Justin’s therapeutic approach is integrative and trauma-informed, using components of psychodynamic, person-centered, CBT, attachment, logotherapy, and mindfulness. He helps teens and adults by deeply listening, with empathy and curiosity, and offering guidance and support during distressing times. In his work with clients, he focuses on assisting people in coping with daily struggles and symptoms, but also uncovering and healing the root of the issues causing problems in their lives and relationships. Justin’s approach helps clients to grow in self-awareness, find healing from their past, and find hope and beauty in their present and future.
Education & Training
Justin earned his Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Counseling: Clinical Mental Health at the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. In addition to his training and education, Justin has 13 years of full-time pastoring experience. He is clinically supervised by Nicolette Rogers, MS, LPC, NCC and works at our St. Joseph location.Â
