When life is challenging, confusing, or just plain hard, you want a professional who will hear you, see you, and accept you just as you are. You have strengths and unique abilities that provide hope and opportunity for you not only to heal, but flourish. We can be our own worst enemies, where self-doubt and fear will get in the way of overcoming obstacles and impact self-esteem. Amber is a warm, engaged, and compassionate therapist to help you find your truth and begin your healing journey. Amber also provides art therapy from a client-centered, trauma-informed lens to help you overcome life’s challenges. Through her work, she supports her clients in seeing their full potential and living more authentically.

If you are a child, teen, or adult struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, family or interpersonal issues, or need support, Amber is here to help.

Therapeutic Approach

Amber approaches her therapeutic work with creativity. As a Registered Art Therapist-Provisional, she believes in the power of art in helping her clients explore and understand their experiences and process strong emotions, feelings, events, and traumas. Amber creates a safe and welcoming space for her clients to share their struggles, celebrations, and everyday life and be themselves. She seeks to help people develop skills to manage the stress of life and discover their passions, potential, and place in this world. She will utilize approaches such as Art Therapy, CBT, and attachment in a non-judgmental environment that produces self-discovery and expression.

Education & Training

Amber received her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Emporia State University, and is currently pursuing Play Therapy training. Amber is supervised by Teresa Paterson Bartch, LPC, LCPC, RPT-S™
