Although life’s challenges and obstacles can help shape who we are today, it can feel lonely and frightening. Brooke is passionate about empowering her clients during those times of loneliness and fear by providing a safe and stable space for self exploration. Brooke believes highlighting individual’s natural strengths can develop resilience and long term growth. She loves working with children, teens, and adults experiencing a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and interpersonal challenges.
Therapeutic Approach
Brooke approaches her work with children, teens and adults from a client-centered, trauma-informed lens. She loves to incorporate numerous theories and modalities such as strengths based approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Due to her strengths based approach, Brooke prioritizes meeting clients where they are on their journey and personalizing treatment for each client.
Education & Training
Brooke earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Avila University and her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Kansas. She will be pursuing training in both EMDR and Play Therapy. Brooke is currently under the supervision of Lauren Wood, LCSW, LSCSW in Missouri.
