You’ve experienced a big T or a little t trauma, and you are looking for a safe place to process and overcome what weighs you down. For children and teens, anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and challenging behaviors may be a concern.  Your child may experience difficulties in school, or withdraw in other social settings.  Early intervention is important, whether you are a child or teen trying to figure life’s challenges out, or an adult trying to resolve the anxiety and depression symptoms that show up every day.

You need to be heard, understood and know that you matter.  Kim strives to provide this supportive and warm environment, with no judgement, where the client can authentically explore self and learn new skills to bring balance and satisfaction into daily life.

Therapeutic Approach

Kim approaches therapy from a person-centered, family systems lens, with trauma-informed interventions that support the overall wellness of the client.  She values mindfulness based interventions, in addition to utilizing Play Therapy and Art Therapy to bridge the cognitive, emotional and somatic domains that her clients experience.

Education & Training

Kim graduated from the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s Degree Program at Truman State University.  She is clinically supervised by Teresa Paterson Bartch, LPC, LCPC, RPT-S™ and works in our Kansas City, MO Office.
