Sara believes that all people deserve support, understanding, and compassion. She is passionate about supporting others so they can find their joy and strength, celebrate what makes them unique, and realize the wisdom already inside them. Sara works with clients who may be struggling with difficult life experiences, anxiety, depression, trauma, or self-doubt that is influencing and limiting their lives. She helps her clients overcome thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve them and reconnect and find acceptance for all parts of themselves. She holds a safe space, free of judgment, for her clients to explore their lives and move toward healing, acceptance, and joy.

Sara works as a Counseling Intern, serving the Lawrence community. She works with adults needing support with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other concerns. 

Therapeutic Approach

Sara brings joy, hope, and compassion to her work with clients. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered, using elements of attachment, existential, and mindfulness theories. Her approach is grounded in understanding the connection of the mind, body, and spirit, and offering mindfulness tools to help restore balance and awareness of the present moment. Additionally, her work with clients centers around helping people widen their perspectives and appreciate the families, communities, and systems that impact their lives and relationships and shape who they are. 

Education & Training

Sara is working towards her Master of Science in Counseling at Prescott College, in Arizona. Additionally, she is pursuing an Expressive Arts Therapy Certification. Sara is clinically supervised by Teresa Paterson Bartch, LPC, LCPC, RPT-Sâ„¢.
