Group Therapy

You are not alone. Groups can provide powerful healing support in your wellness journey.

Group therapy at Embark provides additional support when you are having difficulty handling your life’s struggles. Being part of a group allows you to connect with others who really understand what you are going through and creates a sense of community. Group therapy differs from individual therapy in that sessions are held with a group of individuals meeting with a therapist. In these group sessions, group members are expected to be non judgemental, and the therapist facilitates the process. Members share their thoughts and experiences with the group, allowing everyone to support one another.

Group therapy’s effectiveness lies in its ability to help you find connections with other people and their experiences. These therapist-guided sessions are designed to help you learn more about yourself and how to improve the way you feel, as well as learn from others who struggle with similar issues. The therapist’s guidance ensures that you’re not alone in your journey, and you’ll feel the support of others who understand your experience.

Group therapy improves overall well-being and does so at a lower cost than individual counseling.  It’s a practical and beneficial option that enhances growth and healing, supporting your participation in individual counseling. For this reason, your individual therapist may recommend one of our groups.

Embark offers groups that are continuously running and accepting new members, as well as workshop groups that run for a short period (4 sessions/weeks) and may cover more niche or specialized topics.
